Students Of The Rimba Elementary School Appreciated Free Lunch From Habema

Krepkuri Nduga, SABTANEWS.COM – One of the military units under the command of the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command HABEMA, the Task Forces of the Para Raider Infantry Battalion 503/Mayangkara Kostrad, is currently conducting mobile security at the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, especially in Nduga Regency, Papua Pegunungan Province. On Friday, 18 October 2024, the 503 Task Forces, especially Batas Batu Post led by First Lieutenant Galih Widiharyo, demonstrated social concern by providing free lunch to the students of Rimba Elementary School at the Mumugu Village, Krepkuri District.

In his emphasis on the Soldiers, the Commander of the 503 Task Force, Lieutenant Colonel Gurbasa Samosir, conveyed the importance of the Task Forces' attention to the basic necessities of the community around the Post. Therefore, since its assignment in Papua, the Batas Batu Post has tried to utilize its assignment time by simultaneously conducting Territorial activities aimed at helping the people in the surrounding area. On Friday, the Soldiers distributed free lunch to the students of Rimba Elementary School.

While carrying out the task, the Soldiers conducted Social Communication with the teachers and the school’s students in the schoolyard. During the interaction, the Soldiers offered them lunch, considering it was mealtime. Responding to the offer, the teachers and the students smiled and joyfully accepted the lunch. After the activity, one of the students, Dani Menjeh, said, "Thank you, Commander 503, we are full. God bless you."

Upon receiving the activity report, the HABEMA Commanding General, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, commended the 503 Task Forces’ initiative to provide free food to the students of Rimba Elementary School in Mumugu. His words: "The 503 Task Forces' initiative is a testament to TNI's commitment to provide the community’s basic need to support the acceleration of development in the Papua region.

" This recognition from the highest authority in HABEMA is not just a commendation but a testament to the significant role of the military in community development. It instills profound hope and optimism about their potential to shape the region's future positively.
