Muara Residents Happily Welcomed Habema Marines Rosita

Dekai Yahukimo, SABTANEWS.COM – The Task Forces of the Infantry Battalion 6 Marines, part of the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command HABEMA in Papua, is currently conducting mobile security at the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, especially in the Yahukimo Regency area, Papua Pegunungan Province. On Monday, 14 October 2024, the Marines Task Forces Patrol Team conducted routine security patrols in the Muara Village, Dekai District, Yahukimo Regency. During the patrol, the Soldiers had the opportunity to cross the Muara Market and carry out the “ROSITA” (Buy up Farming Products) belonging to residents who sold their farming products in the market.

The commander of the Marines Task Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Rismanto Manurung, left a message for the Soldiers who would conduct the patrol. The message was to help the community with the difficulties in their assigned areas, which is necessary when carrying out the main task of securing the area. Therefore, that Monday, the Logpon Post, led by First Lieutenant Nico, took advantage of their patrol by helping the local community's economy, especially those selling farming products.

With a focus on security and community engagement, the Soldiers have the opportunity to interact and communicate with the sellers. The Soldiers bought and brought the farming products traded that morning using their pocket money. Responding to the ROSITA program, the sellers were pleased because the Soldiers bought their merchandise. A seller named Mama Ester Hanuebi expressed her gratitude by saying, "Thank you, Bapak Tentara (Soldier), for buying our farming products. God bless."

Upon receiving the activity report, the HABEMA Commanding General, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, commended the Marines Task Forces’ initiative to buy farming products in the Muara Village.
