HABEMA’S FREE PACKAGES OF BASIC NECESSITIES IMPLEMENTED THE SHARING OF LOVE WITH MAMBA RESIDENT

Sugapa Intan Jaya, SABTANEWS.COM – One of the military units under the command of the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command HABEMA, the Task Forces of the Raider Infantry Battalion 509/Balawara Yudha Kostrad, is currently conducting mobile security at the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, especially in Intan Jaya Regency, Papua Tengah Province. On Tuesday, 22 October 2024, the 509 Task Forces demonstrated social concern by distributing free packages of basic necessities to a resident of Mamba Village, Sugapa District.

It's not just the Soldiers who are involved in this initiative. The community plays a crucial role as well. In his emphasis on the Soldiers, the Commander of the 509 Task Force, LtCol Dian Dessiawan Setyadi, conveyed the importance of the Task Forces' attention to the basic necessities of the community around the Post. Therefore, since its assignment in Papua, the Soldiers have tried to utilize its assignment time by simultaneously conducting Territorial activities aimed at helping the people in the surrounding area. On that Tuesday, the 509 Task Forces, especially the Kotis Mamba Post, received a Mamba resident, Mama Maria Turnib, visiting the Post for social communication. 

During their task, the 509 Soldiers didn't just distribute the packages; they interacted and communicated with Mama Maria. In this interaction, the Soldiers' empathy shone through as they shared their love by distributing a free package of basic necessities to Mama Maria. Her smile and joyful acceptance of the packages were a testament to the Soldiers' genuine care. After the activity, Mama Maria expressed her gratitude, saying, "Thank you, Commander 509. God bless you."

Upon receiving the activity report, the HABEMA Commanding General, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, commended the 509 Task Forces’ initiative to distribute free packages of basic necessities to the Mamba resident. His words: "The 509 Task Forces' initiative is a testament to TNI's commitment to provide the community’s basic need to support the acceleration of development in the Papua region." This recognition from the highest authority in HABEMA is not just a commendation but a testament to the significant impact of such initiatives on the region's development.
